I've decided I'm going to use this journal thing now with the hopes of improving my literary skills as well as let people who might care what's going on in my simple life.

I've recently purchased a Sony A-350 with the belief that i can take better pictures with a better camera. That being said, a lot of the shots have turned out better, but I believe that has to do with the "auto mode" on the camera. After realizing it's not just the camera, but knowing how to use it, I purchased "Sony DSLR A300/A350 Digital Field Guide" by Tom Bonner. This book has a ton of information for beginners and even some stuff for those smart people. I've only begun to understand what some of these buttons on the camera mean and already the quality of shots have improved. So hopefully I'll get some pictures up more often and maybe I'll get more page views and some comments and suggestions.
